Eustis is a city in Florida that is known for its George Fest, which is the second longest annual festival honoring George Washington, the first US President. George Fest originated in 1876, at the Ocklawaha House, where it is still held. The Ocklawaha House is the oldest remaining hotel in the Eustis area. Before the railways were built, Eustis was a busy port for steam boats. Now, this quiet town is home to approximately 25,000 people and it is the perfect place for a quiet getaway.
